COVID Home

Because of the coronavirus, I have largely switched to working remotely with individuals and families, teams, and schools.

Here’s how I’m working:

Individuals and Families

I continue to work with individuals and families using Zoom, or in-person when it is warm enough to work outside and an acceptable social distance can be maintained. For established or past clients, Zoom works really well. Of course, it’s a bit tougher to start out this way with new clients, but it’s working just fine for many families who need help now. As always, I am happy to work for as many hours as it takes for your family to make progress. If you feel that a more intensive program is needed, although I have suspended my in-person Weekend Intensive program for now, I am happy to arrange as many Zoom sessions as it takes for me to work with all the people involved.

As always, I am happy to discuss your case with you to see if I am a good fit for your child and family.

For kids who were doing OK but are stressed by the pandemic, I will be offering small-group Confidence Coaching classes starting in a few weeks. Please email me to sign up.

Teams

Now that seasons have ended, it’s a perfect time to work on the mental game. I have come up with a 6-week Zoom program that introduces many of the concepts I use when I work with teams so players and coaches (and parents!) can get started before practices start again. There are a few ways to access it, so there is something for every budget:

Individual teams can hire me to work with their coaches and players via Zoom. Here is the curriculum (scroll down on the page), which is for players, parents, and coaches.

Coaches and players can participate in small-group Zoom sessions. Here is the curriculum (scroll down on the page).

Everyone can listen to my podcasts, which are free! There are two, starting at the end of April:

For coaches: Niagara men’s hockey coach Jason Lammers and I will talk about many of the concepts in the curriculum as his players go through the program, and there will be special guest coaches who will talk about aspects of the mental game.

For parents: I will explain the work I do with student-athletes and give tips on how parents can best support their children in their bids for excellence both in and beyond athletics.

Schools

COVID-19 has caused many schools and families to realize that they are actually connecting more with remote communication. This can be a significant pivot point for both, and it’s a huge opportunity for all of us to work together to reduce student stress and anxiety in schools, both now and when we all return to school. The Reconnection Project, a Jeff Levin Coaching project for schools, is offering some remote learning opportunities on our Connected Classroom program for teachers and parents. Again, there are a few ways to learn more about Connected Classrooms:

Individual schools can hire me to work with teachers, parents, and students via Zoom. Here is the curriculum.

Teachers can participate in small-group Zoom sessions on the Connected Classroom techniques. Here is the curriculum.

Everyone can listen to my podcasts, which are free! There are two, starting at the end of April:

For teachers: Windham High School principal and I will talk about many of the concepts in the Connected Classroom curriculum, and there will be guest educators who will talk about aspects of coping with stress and anxiety in schools.

For parents: I will explain how the Connected Classroom helps students and give tips on how parents can best work with schools in order to keep their kids safer in school and how to best support their kids in their journeys to be happy, independent, successful adults.
