Team-building Programs

I offer interactive programs for athletes and teams, student groups, corporations, or for any group that has a shared goal or experience.

My goal is to transform collections of individuals into true communities in a practical, “real-world” way that is based on a solid theoretical foundation.

Who benefits

Any group with a shared goal or experience. I most commonly work with

but my program works with a wide variety of audiences. It also can work as a keynote address for large groups.

How It Works

For the whole to be more than the sum of its parts, you need to work with both the whole and the parts. My programs typically include group exercises that build community and camaraderie and combat stress, as well as one-on-one sessions with each individual when appropriate to customize a performance plan to help them both identify their emotional strengths as well as the obstacles that prevent them from fully utilizing those strengths.

I work with both heads and hearts. My programs include techniques so participants’ emotions are working for them, not against them. They will leave my program with a set of tools that will help them to manage their thinking and be more emotionally resilient.

The antidote to stress is community. I call stress “the great isolator.” Stress is one of the biggest reasons why a group can’t gel, because each individual is busy trying to manage their own demons and can’t reach out to anyone else. This sense of isolation is often what leads to destructive behaviors such as addiction/binge drinking/drugging, harassment/hazing, inappropriate sexual conduct, etc.

My goal is to achieve, real, lasting change, both in individual participants and the group, that is identified during our work together. My programs give you the structure that allows you to succeed, support to help you succeed, and accountability to make sure you do succeed.

Participants will learn both hard and soft skills that they can use for the rest of their lives:

  • Heart-rate monitoring to reduce anxiety,
  • Managing thinking so positivity prevails,
  • Goal-setting skills so participants can devise a plan, implement that plan, achieve benchmarks and reach goals.
  • Find a sense of purpose—what does success look like? What is it going to look like if goals are not achieved?

Participants will:

  • Have a great time!
  • Leave with concrete short-, medium-, and long-range plans both for their group and themselves.
  • Feel increased energy, passion and positive self-regard.
  • Feel more connected to each other.
