The problem

The world changed faster than anyone prepared kids for — they never picked up the emotional skills earlier generations learned automatically.

01The phone always wins, and you’re tired of being the bad guy about it.
02They seem anxious, checked out, or lost — and the door to their room stays shut.
03You carry a quiet shame that you can’t reach your own kid anymore.
04You miss the spark they used to have — the joy, the direction, the confidence.

Take a breath. The good news is this is totally fixable — and it isn’t your fault. It’s what the world stopped teaching them. I’ve helped hundreds of families find their way back.

Meet Jeff

After 46 years with kids, I know the problem isn’t with them. It’s what the world stopped teaching them.

Modern parenting feels different and more complicated. All young people — whether they just need to bolster their confidence or are failure-to-launch — feel pressure. They feel anxious. They worry about failing and people’s opinions. They’re glued to their phones. They feel ashamed and lost.

The good news is this is totally fixable. I’ve helped hundreds of families connect the dots between how modern culture fails our kids and what they can do to find confidence, direction, and practical support. I offer a safe space to explore challenges without judgment — focused entirely on what’s best for the young person, so they can fall in love with the world.

As I say to kids: “I help you become you.”

How it works

Simple, gentle, and entirely at your pace.

No commitment to start — just a clear next step.

1

A free consultation

We talk. A relaxed conversation — about 30 minutes, video call or a phone call. Just two people figuring out if I can help.

2

A personalized plan

Together we build a simple, clear plan that points your whole family back toward calm, connection, and peace at home — a direction, not a quick fix.

3

Ongoing support

I stay in your child’s corner as they grow — rebuilding confidence, week by week, until being themselves feels natural again.

What the free consultation actually is

A calm, focused conversation. I’ll listen, help you understand what’s really going on with your child, and we’ll map out a simple first plan: the practical things you and your child can start doing to bring more confidence and peace into your home.

~30 minutesVideo or phone callA clear next step

There’s a method to this.

Behind every program is one approach I’ve refined over 46 years — a way of helping kids set down the pressure they’re carrying and rediscover who they are. I call it PRE-STAR. It started with athletes, but it works for almost any young person stuck in their own head.

Stories from families

The change is real — and so are the people.

★★★★★
“Since you spoke, John has been crushing it. He’s excited about the condo, just helped his stepbrother find a starter home, and he’s loving real estate. Best I’ve seen him.

“My biggest takeaway was to step outside my comfort zone. At first I felt vulnerable, but after that my confidence skyrocketed — I could say anything around our team without feeling judged or self-conscious.”

“Jeff spoke at my nephew’s hockey league in New Hampshire. My nephew never comments on those things, but he came out and said it was life-changing to hear him speak. Whatever Jeff said sat with him deeply.”

“My biggest takeaway was learning how to clear my mind of ‘can’t.’ I realized how often I shut myself down before I even try. Now I catch myself and just give it a shot instead of assuming I can’t.”

“It’s helping me shift my focus onto the right things and let go of unnecessary stress — it’s honestly bringing my love for football back. Once I know I’m mentally right, I’m starting to play more freely.”

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

No. I’m a coach, not a therapist. Therapy looks back and treats what’s wrong; I look forward and teach the emotional skills the world stopped teaching — confidence, independence, how to handle pressure. For a lot of kids, coaching is exactly what’s missing. It also works alongside therapy beautifully.
Yes — and here’s why. Kids are surrounded by adults handing them marching orders. I’m not one of them. I’m on their side, there’s no judgment, and I talk straight. After 46 years, I can tell you most kids are relieved to finally have someone in their corner who just wants to help them become themselves.
They’re not too far gone. I promise you that. The crack in a kid’s confidence is real, but it heals — I’ve watched it happen hundreds of times. It’s completely fixable. That’s the whole reason I do this.
Both work. I meet kids online and in person, and the thing that actually does the work — real connection, being seen, being heard — comes through either way. We’ll do whatever fits your family’s life.
We talk — a relaxed, free conversation, about 30 minutes. From there, my real job is to help you build a simple, clear plan: one that points your whole family back toward calm, connection, and peace in the home. Not a quick fix — a direction the entire household can feel. You’ll leave knowing the next step and exactly why it matters.
The Modern Parent’s Survival Guide

The guide I wrote for you.

So you can finally understand what’s really changed — and what your kids need from you now. After 46 years with kids, I put everything I know into one short honest guide for parents: how to trade fear for trust, and lead your child back toward confidence and independence in today’s digital world.

Inside, you’ll learn how to
  • Recognize the New Parenting Playbook — how fear quietly turned “bringing forth” into over-protecting, scheduling, and hovering.
  • Break Outcome Fever — why prizing achievements over character leaves kids anxious, fragile, and unsure of who they are.
  • See the phone for the Trojan Horse it is — and set the limits on screens and sleep that actually protect them.
  • Trade fear for trust — the “streetlights” model that raises confident, independent kids in a faster, more complicated world.

One small step

Let’s talk. It’s free, it’s relaxed,
and it’s where things start to change.

You’ve carried this long enough. Thirty minutes with me, and you’ll leave with a clear next step — and the sense that it’s going to be okay. Because in my experience, with the right help, it usually is.
